We are not accepting drop in callers to our centers due to COVID health regulations. Our centers are open on limits days for phone befriending.

At Sri Lanka Sumithrayo, there is Help, there is Hope. Providing Emotional support to those going through difficult times in life is our goal. Speak to us in confidence and share your burden. We assure 100% Confidentiality, Anonymity and Acceptance with respect and care. You don't have to be suicidal to contact Sri Lanka Sumithrayo. There are 10 SriLanka Sumithrayo centers spread across the country, The Rural programme and The Outreach unit supports the community in numerous ways face to face / Over the phone / mail

Giving support to Alcohol & Drug dependents and their families. The paintings done by children effected by these circumstances portrayed their fear and helplessness.

About Sri Lanka Sumithrayo

Sri Lanka Sumithrayo is a government approved charity founded in 1974, by late Mrs. Joan De Mel and was incorporated by Act of Parliament No.10 of 1986. Srilanka Sumithrayo are registered members of Befrienders Worldwide and function as a non-political, non-religious organization focused on providing emotional support to help those at risk of suicide.
